Software
Still paying the bills until AI deprecates humanity
I build line-of-business software systems. For the last five years, I’ve developed investigative applications for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, crafting modern web apps, refactoring legacy systems, streamlining DevOps pipelines, and maintaining developer documentation.
Core Stack: React.js + Typescript backed by C#.NET and SQL Server.
My current full-stack focus is backed by 30 years of custom database development, data warehousing, business intelligence, and enterprise software consulting.
Origin Story
I wrote my first code at age 10 on a TRS-80 Color Computer. I hacked castaway IBM PC XT and AT computers throughout high school. Early projects included baseball card databases and hex-editing flight simulators to soup up the planes. While studying jazz in college, I added a computer science minor. This was before web URLs landed on the sides of buses. I had an e-mail address at a time when nobody had them except CS majors and spies.
I’ve been a double agent of sorts ever since. My background in music provides strong problem solving, effectuve communication, and improvisation in a constantly changing environment.

Approach
Navigating the tech industry through the Dot Com Crash, the Great Recession, and the Pandemic has taught me the value of versatility.
-
T-Shaped Expertise: Deep data-driven development paired with broad domain knowledge (energy consulting, law enforcement, pharmaceutical marketing, gallery management, regulatory compliance, and more.)
-
Pragmatic Engineering: Focused on clean, maintainable architecture, following best practices, robust documentation, and mitigating technical debt.
-
Consulting Mindset: I strive to understand the business goals behind the code I create. I communicate with customers and management to ensure that deliverables hit the mark, not just the specification.
