Commitment
I want this site to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities and those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or magnification.
Approach
I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. To that end:
- Visual Clarity: Designing with readable color contrasts, clear typography, and structured navigation.
- Alternative Text: Providing text alternatives (alt text) for photos and illustrations.
- Keyboard & Screen Reader Support: Ensuring that my content, contact form, navigation menus, and media are keyboard-navigable and compatible with assistive technologies.
- Ongoing Audits: Periodically reviewing my content and layout to identify and resolve accessibility barriers.
Known Limitations
This site embeds some videos from third-party YouTube and Vimeo channels. Their captions are provided by those channels, may be auto-generated or missing, and are outside my control. Those videos are marked as third-party where they play. Videos I publish myself are captioned.
