Listen While I Moo

This band originated as an all-night Emphasis session in college with guitarists Stephen Mazzetta and David Rozner. It’s an instrumentation I’m particularly fond of: tenor saxophone plus two electric guitars. Completely free improvisation.

We named the recording that night “Listen While I Moo”. This became the name of the group when Mazzetta and I revived it in New York City in the late 90’s, joined then by Chris Adamo on guitar. We performed at ABC No Rio with special guest Daniel Carter, the prolific free jazz multi-instrumentalist.
